What an interesting continuation of Lizzy's harrowing story of trying to strengthen herself through overcoming pain - or some such misguided philosophy. You'd think as a philosophy major she would be smarter than that, but this installment of Billionaires in Disguise reveals more of Lizzy's past that has shaped her into this twisted thinker.Unfortunately, the two men she is grappling with, Mannix and half-brother Theo, are so very twisted by their pasts as well. Plot nuances and further emotional encounters of these three are worthy of 4 stars - original and believable. Just when the reader thinks Lizzy or Theo is starting down a false path, Ms. Babylon dials back the melodrama to a reasonable roar and you can accept their rationale.
So well written, with feelings-packed sex scenes and richly detailed accounts of Lizzy's and Theo's few days together - like Theo's company party - and more inclusion of colorful secondary characters, Breaking Rules is a delight to read. I can't believe it, it's not like me, but I am going to pony up the $$$ to buy the next book in the series right now!

To say that Lizzy has self esteem problems is putting it mildly. She sees to be her own worse enemy........... or runs a close second to Mannix. What she ever saw in him I'll ever know. There is one scene that I absolutely thought was outstanding tho. When Lizzy takes Theo to the Gym to show him her previous routine from when she trained for the Olympics. It was written by someone with s true love and understanding of the sport. .....and it was beautifully done............... I liked Theo way more than I cared about Lizzy. She seemed to be at the mercy of fate, or which ever way the wind blew. There were several love scenes I didn't care for.........too much ramming and cramming........... This wasn't one of Blairs better books and I know she can do better because she's one of my favorite authors......... I probably wouldn't continue with the series if I hadn't already bought them.
This was such a great book. I have loved the entire series thus far. This one is a little different from Rae and Wulf. Lizzy has been handed over to Theo while her Dom is out of town for 5 days and she is instructed to do whatever he wants while Mannix is gone. Theo has had feelings for Lizzy that he has tried to keep at bay for so long and he makes it 2 days into her 5 day stay before he breaks his promise to himself to keep his hands off Lizzy. Once he has had her things change drastically. Now he wants to protect her, take care of her and love her. In the meantime there are reporters trying to get to Lizzy, her mother is guilting her into returning to Pajari gym and all Lizzy wants is to be happy and it seems she doesn't even know how to do that any more.
Can Lizzy find what will make her truly happy while dealing with Russian hit men, her self-centered, unfeeling mother, a Dom that has lied to and abused her, reporters stocking her every move and a man that turns her world upside down? Read on, people! This was a wonderful addition to Blair Babylon's series.
This is the continuation of the Billionaires in Disguise series by Blair Babylon. Episode 3 begins with Theo closing the door as Mannix leaves him with Lizzy. We first met the mysterious Theo Valencia in Falling Hard, episode 1. The chemistry between Theo and Lizzy was hot. Unfortunately, it was short lived when Theo is required by his work to do an extensive background check on Lizzy; finding out one of her biggest secrets. This pushes her into the arms of Mannix. Theo, who is aware of how Mannix treats the women in his relationships, is determined to save Lizzy from a similar fate. He only has five days in which to do it.
Never have I wanted a couple to get together so badly. Theo and Lizzy have been driving me crazy since episode 1. Let me rephrase that Theo has been driving me crazy since episode 1. I needed to know his story. Was he a friend or a foe? Why does he insist on living a conservative lifestyle when it comes to relationships? During this episode, we get glimpses into his past but not exactly the whole story. Despite that, I did fall in love with Theo and ended up having a very strong dislike for Mannis. I am looking forward to the next installment to find out what happens between Lizzy and Theo. I’m hoping for a HEA.
OMG, I can't believe I devoured this book in less than a day. I couldn't put the darn thing down. Not only is there an intense relationship budding between Theo and Lizzy, but there seems to be two sets of people out to get Theo. There is some awesome action in this book, as well as an intense erotic and non-graphic sex scene.
The writing was so good, I felt like I was there. I was also rooting for Theo, at least in this book Lizzy has gone back to being her New Jerseyan self somewhat. I hope the final Lizzy book is as good as this one. I highly recommend this book, you won't be disappointed. I'm not huge on romance or erotic romance, but these books have something else that grips me.
This is the third book in Lizzy's story and it picks up where the last one left off - with Theo assigned to be Lizzy's Dom in Mannix's absence. Theo has no intentions of being a Dom to Lizzy and only wants to get her away from his half brother Mannix. Theo has five days before Mannix returns to convince Lizzy to break her contract and get away from Mannix. Lizzy is so deep in herself thinking she deserves the pain and torture that Mannix gives to her, that she is hard to convince. Theo is your nice guy, he has ethics and morals and he's not willing to compromise them, but for Lizzy he will. He will play dirty to get her to leave Mannix, then she can make her own decisions. After a few days, he breaks through, but when Mannix returns he swears to kill Theo to keep Lizzy. Lizzy runs away from both of them. The story continues in Burning Bright.
